🔍 INTERACTION SYSTEM 🔍

  • Inspect objects in the world, with layered interactions allowing you to create puzzle boxes, latches, trigger events, and more.

  • Pickup objects in the world, and use them to unlock doors, pack it away in your inventory, or place it back down to trigger events such as putting a heavy object on a pressure plate.

  • Compass bars to help the player navigate their world.

  • Minimaps with custom markers and border designs.

  • Navigation marker system to highlight quests, locations, objectives, etc. These can then be rendered in 3D space, and integrate automatically with the compass bars and minimaps.

  • Items you can pickup, store, and equip - tools, weapons, keys, etc.

  • Inventory system to store items, with both a hotbar and window variant.

  • Player controller with sprinting, crouching, jumping, and sliding. The systems in this toolkit are also very modular, so you can easily plug in your own controller if you wish.

  • Crosshair system that can dynamically change based on what you're looking at. e.g. a hand to pickup an object, a magnifing glass to inspect an object, a door to open/close a cupboard.

  • Player stats to help you keep track of coins, keys, and other collectables, displaying them on-screen. These are built with the ScriptableObject architecture.

  • Camera focusing to zoom the camera in on interactable objects such as keypads, locks, points of interest, etc.

  • Menu system with settings screen to change graphics, volume and key bindings.

  • Escape room demo game which highlights many of the toolkit's features, along with a demo scene for each of the toolkit's systems.
