Overview

A simple and flexible audio system for footsteps that supports both simple FPS controllers as well as humanoid animated models (characters) for third or first person games.


Footsteps System gives you the flexibility of adding unlimited number of surface types to your character with the freedom of adding your own audios for each surface type with up to 4 audios for each surface, increasing the variation of sound. A flexible pitch randomizer system is available for each surface type to help give further more sound variation to each footstep sound.


You also get to set the gap between each footstep sound to make it seem faster or slower to be in sync with your movement speed OR another way is the system supports being called from animation events for each leg, so you can call a function for each leg in your movement animation to play the footstep and it'll automatically detect the surface and play the footstep of the specific surface you're on.


You can also set a default footstep sound meaning when a character is moving on an unknown surface it'll fallback to the default audio steps.


The package already comes with 7 quality footstep sound effects for different surfaces:

- asphalt

- wood

- metal

- grass

- sand

- mud

- wet


A demo scene, fully-commented source code and a full guide comes with the package.
