Overview

Blobov is a Unity URP editor tool that generates shadow-catcher planes directly from scene geometry using projection-based depth capture. It automates the entire process of creating optimized shadow textures and materials, allowing developers to add realistic shadow representations without relying on Unity’s lighting or shadow system.

The generated shadow planes are fully customizable. Users can control parameters such as resolution, projection bounds, blur, transparency, orientation, and output materials to match their specific visual and performance requirements.
